A Heart to Serve

Have you ever heard of a Christian that doesn't love God, but worships him anyway? Have you ever heard of a Christian that loves God, but hates people around them? If you do, then you must know that such people will not inherit the kingdom of the God. "These people draweth nigh to me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me."(Matthew 15:8) Doesn't God look more at your heart than what is on the outside? What's more pleasing: the eye or the heart? Your hands or your mind? Within you is your true character. If it is evil then you are evil. If it is good then you are good. Lets look at the Pharisees. They went to the synagogue, which was their church, and they performed their religious duties as they were supposed to. They paid their tithes, worshipped God, and made prayers, but Jesus was very mad at them. First, they wanted attention and made it their first priority instead of worship, and used prayer to get attention from people. Second, their hearts were full of pride and wickedness, they had no love for no one, even God. They thought lip-service would get them into heaven and believed that paying tithes was all that was just needed. Their hearts were very much far from God. that's why we must have a loving inside our hearts. You can't serve God with a hating heart. It's just impossible. So please have love, and don't think that paying tithes and/or speaking holy will get you into heaven alone. There's more rules to follow, and those two are just apart of the rules. Well, God bless you. Amen.
